Meet Teresa of Sirrine Studio. Owner, entrepreneur, yoga instructor, massage therapist, mom, wife, and pretty cool chic. We met up last week to get a few shots for her website and for some new projects she has in the works at the studio. Just love how they turned out…the backdrop, the light, Teresa looking beautimus, and the cute tops she wore that were designed by her very own sister at Nostalgic Boutique.
I’ve been a regular to the studio since early last year for yoga and massage. She keeps me (and my back) happy in between weddings :)
A little late, but hey, its still officially Wednesday and its never too late for a little random babble. Right? :)
I’m back from spending a long weekend in Pennsylvania for Melissa and Ronnie’s wedding and I’m already missing the east coast a bit. It was my first time to the state of PA and my first time meeting the happy couple, both of which left a lasting impression. I just loved the landscape, all the textures around the city, the neat old houses and buildings (no two the same), the Tastykakes, and the beautiful bride and groom :) I feel like everything in PA was so rich in history and had so much character. Compared to all the stucco and uniformity here in AZ, it was a nice, refreshing change. Also refreshingly cold on the big day. We’re talking 30 degrees with snow flurries and a chilly wind. But Melissa and Ronnie were serious troopers and braved the outdoors as long as they could to get some amazing naturey shots.
Once I got back home, I went straight into kitchen renovation mode. I had to jump right in and get to work on painting the kitchen walls from red to brown. And since I always underestimate the time it takes to prep and paint a room, this job went into the wee hours of the next day. Which then led to MY first experience using the new Keurig machine. We also had to clear off all the kitchen counters in preparation for the demo of our existing counters and the installation of the new. So in addition to the painting mess and the mess the boys made from me being gone three days, our kitchen had to be dismantled around the living and dining room, and for the last 24 hours we had to live without kitchen counters and a sink. My version of camping….making coffee and toasting a bagel on the living room floor this morning :) But as of 2:03pm today, we have ……beautiful …..shiny ……new …….granite counters. Oh, they are so pretty!!!! No more white tile counters, no more grout, and I can wipe a mess from the counter straight into the sink. Undermount sink = pretty big deal! I am in love! ♥ More to come…
Oh yes I did: ran up these stairs Rocky Balboa style!!! Boom. Then had a panic attack in the worlds largest and scariest roundabout in downtown Philly.
Currently: trying to get into Stephenie Meyer’s The Host for the umpteenth time. I’ve heard its a really good book, but I’m just having a hard time getting into it. When I saw there was a movie coming out based on the book, I decided I better try it again. Also, just bought Argo (love Ben Affleck) and Skyfall (the latest 007), which will be watched this weekend!
It’s the month of LOVE! And what do I love more than anything? My mooooost favorite thing in the whole wide world? No no, besides Reese’s. My hubby, duh :) So I’m celebrating love day (and the ONE YEAR anniversary of Mimi’s Favorite Things!) by giving YOU what I gave my hubby for Valentine’s day….
A brand spankin new Keurig coffee maker! Boom. He’s been bugging me about getting one for a while (like on a daily basis), so I surprised him with a fresh cup of coffee in bed made from his new fancy shmancy machine. And he’s in looooove with it! The machine is so speedy and from what I’ve heard, makes a mean cup of coffee. I just may have to take up coffee drinkin myself ;)
The winner will get a Keurig mini (in their favorite color) or a $100 Keurig credit to put towards the coffee machine of their dreams ♥

Today I’m getting prepared to head to cold and snowy Pennsylvania for Melissa and Ronnie’s wedding. Even though the state of PA is currently under a Winter Weather Advisory (oh my!), I am still really excited to finally meet the bride and groom I’ve been exchanging emails with for almost a year, have a change of scenery, and I suppose…eat a philly cheese steak? :) Time to pack the winter gear, pack the camera gear, and figure out how I’m going to fit it all! Watch for some snowy teasers on Sunday.
In kitchen news…we successfully and even agreeingly decided on new and pretty cabinet hardware, cabinet molding, and wooden legs for our new island. It is rare that the hubby and I like the same thing, especially about this kitchen, so it was refreshing to knock off all these little things with both of us happy. Before the major work starts next week, I have to paint the kitchen walls. This task snuck up on me and now I will only have one day to complete it when I get back from PA, buuuut the boys are also off from work and school this ONE day, so I think I’ll be puttin them to work!
Since I can’t blog without a picture…here’s a photo bombing turkey! If you didn’t already, go check out the rest of Mandy and Matt’s wedding :)
Oh yes I did: developed a deep love for rutabaga. Raw, baked, steamed, its good any way! Who knew this delicious mysterious vegetable even existed?! Try it. Do it.
Currently: sooooo very obsessed with The Lumineers album. I heard them perform on the Grammy’s on Sunday and immediately downloaded the album. Now I’ve been listening to it all week on repeat. The boys are officially sick of it, but not me! :) I belong with you, you belong with me. You’re my sweeeeetheart! Hey, Ho!
And yes, I’m still addicted to hot yoga.
