MJ 2 Day Workshop!

Monday and Tuesday of this week I attended Melissa Jill’s MJ 2 Day photography workshop. 9 photographers from across the country (even 1 from my cheese land!) attended and I was so lucky to be among them. I can’t begin to describe how wonderful the experience was, how much I learned, and all the ideas and inspiration I walk away from it with. Just amazing and beyond words! When I got home last night I was bouncing off the walls with excitement and exhaustion all in one. Inspiration overload I’ll call it. I can’t wait to start to put my goals into action for my business.

Sooo the first day consisted of going over shooting techniques, a walk through of an engagement shoot with Melissa, and of course some In N Out for lunch…mmmmm :) The second day went more into the business side of things – marketing, workflow, products, website, blogging. And as a way to put some of our techniques into action and all get some new head shots for our website, we took turns shooting each other and all got some one-one-one time with Melissa. I’ll be posting some of my head shots that the wonderful gals (and Matt) took of me soon, but below you can check out some shots I took.

I’ll say it again, the workshop and experience overall was aaaaa-mazing. It was a great investment into the future of my business and I have so much inspiration to act on. to close, I must say that Melissa Jill seriously rocks and I’m so happy to have so many new photog friends!

chanda + josh

Well it’s time to get back into the swing of things and get my December sessions wrapped up and blogged! It’s good to be home after my Christmas vacation into the cold tundra of Wisconsin, but I do miss my family already and the days of lounging, snacking, wrapping, and shivering are over!

To start it off is Chanda and Josh. A good ole midwest cute-as-can-be couple who moved to Arizona from Michigan last year. They are getting married back in Michigan, so I won’t be helping with the wedding, but I was more than delighted to get some engagement pictures for them. Enjoy!
