Yes yes, that is the start of a baby bump! We are expecting our first little one in February and couldn’t be happier ♥ We found out earlier this summer and it still feels a bit surreal. Does it ever really set in?! But we are oh so excited, happy, nervous, and mostly just feel really blessed :)
Today marks 16 weeks and I am feeling great. The first three months I was very, very thankful that I did not get any sickness, but I was tired and had close to zero energy…the reason behind my quiet, hermit-like summer. I took morning and afternoon naps, lived in yoga pants (I guess this isn’t too out of the norm), despised make-up and grocery shopping, and was a picky eater. Now I’m into the 2nd trimester, have much more energy, can eat a pizza to myself (learned this last night), and am ready to take on the fall busy season with my new little helper.

WINNER UPDATE: Random.org picked commenter #8: Jessi will be Jazzercisin! :)
This year I’ve been trying to get into a better, more consistent workout schedule. Always a struggle with the consistent part! I do yoga regularly, but also wanted to mix in a more active, cardio workout. I tried several classes at my gym and really wanted to like Zumba because I liked the level of intensity and that it had the fun dance aspect to it, but I just don’t have the flair for Latin moves. Period. Looking for something along those lines, I happened upon the Jazzercise website. Jazzercise? Whaaaaat? Wasn’t that a popular 80’s workout that came on VHS with ladies wearing leotards and leg warmers?! Perhaps it was. My mom being one of those ladies rockin’ the leg warmers ;) Buuuut it’s also still around today and there are Jazzercise studios all over! I was definitely intrigued, so I looked into my local studio and decided to give it a shot.
And I LOVED IT!!!!!! Its fun, its an awesome workout that goes by fast, and it gets muscles working you didn’t even know you had! Each class is a mix of dance and muscle toning set along to fun music. The instructors are a hoot and they always incorporate new moves and new routines so you don’t get bored. My first class was a little rough as I got down some of their key moves, but I caught on. Sa-shaaay Emily!
As you might guess, this month I’m buying me and YOU a set of jazzercise home workout DVDs (in a cute leopard print bag)! As you can see, one of the DVDs is Latin Live. Oh my, but I’ll give it a try and so will you :)

On 7.16.13 on the beautiful, sandy beaches of Jamaica, Amber and Spencer became husband and wife. It was a small, intimate wedding with their close family and friends there to celebrate and enjoy the amazing resort with them. Me and the hubby were there to support our friends and to capture their day! We were so SO so happy to be a part of it and see these two start the next part of their journey together :) Congrats guys, and Jamaica…I miss you already!
