The super sweet Stephanie and Miguel were married on 10.26.13 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Avondale. I was blown away by the church as I drove up the first time. Large, beautiful grounds for pictures (I was obsessed with the wooden doors as you’ll see) and an even more beautiful sanctuary where the ceremony took place. Family is super important to these two, so the day was filled with lots of love and lots of laughs with everyone that was there. And at the end of the night, it was a serious party! Me and my team were pretty sad to be leaving :)

Thanks to all the wonderful vendors and my team of ladies, Dacia (2nd shooter), Audrey (3rd shooter), and Michelle (assistant) for coming along and making it an even better day! Congrats Stephanie and Miguel ♥

WINNER UPDATE: Random.org picked commenter #9: peanut buttery treats for Sheila! Happy Halloween all!

We all know I love Reese’s. And I couldn’t believe it last month when a friend mentioned to me that I’d never given away my MOST FAVORITE candy for Mimi’s Favorite Things. Really??? I must take care of that. And right now is the perfect month (and week) to give away some chocolatey sweets. Not only does this time of year signify lots of treats for Halloween, but it also kicks off the Reese’s holiday season. You see, my most favorite Reese’s of all are the holiday ones. You know, the ones shaped like a pumpkin or a tree or a heart? Those ones are different. They are thicker with more peanut butter, they don’t have the hard crust, and they are just more delicious. Do I have some other supporters of this? Hands up! So it starts with the Halloween pumpkins, which leads quickly to Christmas Trees, then Valentine’s hearts, and finally Easter eggs. I then get around a six month Reese’s detox before we start the craziness all over again :)

So let’s kick off this Reese’s peanut buttery season together by stocking up on some pumpkins and some other Halloween favorites of mine!

Kate and Corey’s day really couldn’t have been more perfect…an amazing venue (a true hidden gem on the outskirts of Phoenix), beautifully planned details (loved their colors), 85 degrees and sunny, and at the end of the day, a happily married couple. My favorite!!

They were married on 10.19.13 at Encanterra. When you enter the driveway of the country club, you kind of feel like you are entering another land. Open spaces, green moss and lawns galore, and gorgeous wood and stone buildings. A nice change from the city and so much beautiful to choose from for pictures!

Thanks to all the vendors that made the day so perfect, my ladies, Dacia (2nd shooter) and Michelle (assistant), for coming along, and of course to Kate and Corey for having me a part of it all! Enjoy :)

First wedding of the season and it couldn’t have been better! I had been so looking forward to Amy and Larry’s wedding day since meeting them last fall for their engagement session. A laid back, adorable, supa-in-love couple…just my type ;)

What means the most to these two? Each other and the people in their lives. So that is what the day was about! Their wedding party was made up of their closest family and friends, their guests traveled from all over the world to celebrate, and there wasn’t a moment that went by that they weren’t smiling (or kissing). See for yourselves!

WINNER UPDATE: Random.org picked commenter #8: Fresh fruit basket for Michelle! :D

For over a week, every day on my to-do list there it was, looming to get done…Mimi’s Favorite Things. Usually, I have no problem putting together the post and finding something to share. I’ve either purchased something recently that I’m lovin or I walk around the house until something clicks and I get to it. Buuuut this month NOTHING was coming to me. Well actually, lots of things were coming to me, but they all have to do with one little…baby. Baby?! Whaaat? Oh, did you miss that announcement? Check it out here :) But the last thing I wanted to do was bore my blog crowd with 9 months of baby talk. And what can you really give away related to pregnancy or babies that everyone would want, with or without a baby? So I’ve been avoiding it and I even thought as I woke up today, I just won’t do one this month…wah waah waaaah. Then my brilliant sister made the suggestion (probably jokingly) to do a fruit basket. Huh – fruit basket? Now if you are my Facebook friend or follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that since we announced we are expecting we’ve been doing weekly fruit/veggie comparison pictures documenting the baby’s growth and my belly growth. It’s been a fun and silly thing to look forward to each week and I love getting calls/messages from friends and family days before…what fruit is it this week?! ♥

And if you’re curious, we’ve gone from an orange to a mango in the last 4 weeks :)

So although I laughed at first, it really is the perfect thing. My little growing fruit baby is all I’ve been thinking about and my meals and snacks the last 4 months have been overrun with fruit. Sooooooo…you got it! A fruit basket. Who doesn’t like fruit? And these days, it really is my favorite thing! And I better do it now while the fruit size is manageable. Probably pretty pricey shipping a watermelon! ;)

Now get to it and enter!
