Diarra and his beautiful wife were my very first bride and groom when I first jumped into the wedding scene. Diarra is also a music artist and just recorded his first album. In preparation for the album, they asked me if I’d like to help them with some cool shots of Diarra and the two of them for the inside pamphlet. This isn’t something I normally do, but it definitely sounded like fun and I was game to try something different!

The session turned out great, so great they wanted to use the shots for the cover of the album too! Wooot wooot! I am soooo pumped to see the final product, but until then you can check out some of our favorites.

Have an amazing weekend all!

Rachel and Eric were married this weekend 4.14.12 at the San Marcos Resort in downtown Chandler. As you can see, these two are GORGEOUS! And so was their big day! Rachel, Eric, and all their family and friends that traveled into town from their homeland of Kansas were a blast. It felt more like hanging with friends than my job. And that is the best :)

Rain, thunderstorms, and wind were in the forecast for Saturday, aaahhh! But we got lucky and it all happened early Saturday and was just perfect the rest of the day for the festivities. Kept us all cool as we ran around and enjoyed the day!

Congrats to the newlyweds and thanks to all the vendors and my 2nd shooter, Diana, for being so awesome! Enjoy my favorites, everyone.

mom - Gorgeous couple, gorgeous wedding, FABULOUS PHOTOGRAPHER! Favorite EVERYTHING so far! Did i spell gorgeous right? :P

Today I am moving very slow…yesterday from 9am – 7pm I was filming a promo video for my website with the amazing Chris from Christopher Leigh Studios. It was ooooh so much fun and crazy to experience all that goes into filming a couple minute video. I am so happy with all the parts of my life we were able to incorporate into the video and I am beyond pumped to see how it all comes together. And at the end of the day I was in a smiley exhausted fog, just ask the hubby :) This is also a good reminder for me of how my clients feel after their wedding or portrait session, so anxious!!

Here is Chris in action yesterday. Yes, he filming from the back of a truck…while moving! Haha, so awesome! Without even seeing the final video yet, I KNOW it is going to be more than I could have imagined. He’s your man if you are looking for a rockin promo video.

This week I am also prepping for Rachel and Eric’s wedding on Saturday! First, lets say some no rain prayers…ok, done :) I have just loved working with these two through the planning process and engagement session, so I’m super excited their wedding weekend has finally arrived! As a refresher, here is the gorgeous duo and their lil pup too :)

Song of the week: I had to pick a song for my promo video, so I’ve totally been working and singing the last few days to this chosen song. But I can’t spoil the video by revealing it, so you’ll just have to wait :)

Movie of the week:
most definitely The Help! I blubbered to the end of the book last week and I blubbered to the end of the movie as well. When did I turn into such a sap?? And this was one of those movies that I was happy with how the book was translated to the big screen. So loved them both! But I was of course narrating the movie for Seth and letting him know the parts that were missing :)

Enjoy the week everyone!
