I arrived to Wisconsin last week and have had to quickly readjust to the humidity. People, do not underestimate the power of 85 degrees with high humidity with no A/C. Oh Arizona, how I miss you, your dry heat, and everything air conditioned. In addition to the humidity, I have also been reintroduced to mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, junebugs, crazy thunder storms, my frantic mother during crazy thunder storms, and spotty service on my phone. I swear I am enjoying myself! ;)
LOVED my first WI wedding weekend spent with Erin and Kurt. Such a sweet couple and the day really couldn’t have turned out more perfect. If you missed it, you can see their blog feature here! I have started to notice a couple differences between Arizona and Wisconsin weddings. Most importantly, at Wisconsin weddings you can expect to hear and dance to The Chicken Dance and Cotton Eyed Joe at the reception. hehe :)
Next up for my trip…
- Visiting my FAVORITE restaurant in the whole wide world, Tokyo Japanese Restaurant. Yes, you can find the best Japanese food in Eau Claire, Wisconsin :)
- Spending a relaxing weekend at my family’s cabin on Lake Arbutus. Big bonus: the cabin has A/C and it is supposed to be a gorgeous, sunny weekend. Wooooo!
- Strawberry Festival in Alma Center, WI. We celebrate everything here with a festival. You also don’t want to miss Butter Fest, Musky Festival, Cranberry Festival, River Fest, Summerfest, Country Fest. You get my drift. TravelWisconsin.com has a full list of fun events.
- And plenty more of these…
Song of the week: I have had Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye stuck in my head for daaaays!! And now its back because I had to think about it. I need to check out the rest of their CD.
Don’t miss Mimi’s Favorite Things for June going on right now! Happy half-way-through-the-work-week :)
