When I heard there was going to be a solar eclipse while we were on out on the lake this last weekend, I brought along the camera and was set on getting a cool picture. I did my best to get an image of the actual eclipse, but instead I got the below. Not what I was going for, but I’ll take it! I think it turned out pretty cool, but I’ll stick with capturing people :) Anyone get a good shot of the eclipse?
For those wondering, I conquered one of my lake fears this weekend by holding the fish I caught. WOOT! It was just a little guy and he had to put up with my squeals and screams, BUT I did it! I would share the picture Seth took of me holding the fish (for proof), but I look pretty ridiculous, too ridiculous to post to the whole web world. Sorry :)
Will be heading up to the mountains this week to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary, 4 year engagement anniversary, 5 year house anniversary, and 7 year first date anniversary. I sure hope this means a present for each celebration. Riiiight?! Our retreat will involve lots of relaxing in the cool pines, golfing, fishing, movies, and a couple date nights at our favorite restaurants. I can’t wait!
Song of the week: Yesterday I purchased John Mayer’s new album “Born and Raised”. I guess he wrote this album after leaving the big city and living in Montana to escape the limelight and “find himself”. The songs have a unique sound to them and its definitely worth giving a try. I am still getting into it, but I think I’m definitely going to like it.
Movie of the week: Recently read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and then Seth and I went to see the movie. Great book and a real easy read for those that want a quick, easy book. I really enjoyed the movie as well and think it well represented the book. Worth reading and worth watching! Now on to book 2 of the series… Catching Fire
Happy Wednesday all!
