The last two weeks my husband has been feverishly working on his gourd car, yep gourd car. As I’ve mentioned before, his family owns a gourd farm down in Casa Grande and every year they host the annual Gourd Festival. As part of the festival, they have a race that is kind of like Pinewood Derby if you were in Boy Scouts. Each car is made out of a small gourd, cannot weigh over a pound, and the first one across the finish line is the coveted annual gourdster WINNER! So this was my husbands first year making a car and he chose to build “Gord Vader” :) It was quite the project I learned after weeks of cutting, measuring, priming, weighing, painting, repainting…you get the drift. He raced next to Gourd White Shark and the Weiner-mobile, ha.
Sooo enjoy some pictures from the 9th annual Gourd Festival! Starting with Gord Vader in action :)
This week I also did a music album shoot for a past groom of mine. This was my first shoot of this nature, and man was it fun! It allowed me to get a little more creative and I also pulled out lighting for some cool sunset shots. Here is a little preview…
Happy Wednesday folks!
