mimi’s favorite things | february 2011

i’ve been pondering a way to get more involved in my blog and make my wonderful followers smile… so i thought, what do i do to make my friends and family smile? hhhmmmm… and one thing that came to mind – give them gifts! yes yes, i know that is not the only way to make your loved ones happy, but (and a big but) i loooooove to give gifts. i love the searching and shopping, the wrapping, the giving, the reaction, all of it. i think it makes me more happy then it even makes the receiver. well now this is starting to sound a little selfish. anyways, so what transpired from all this deep thought was mimi’s favorite things!

so what exactly is this you might ask? i will tell you.

i will choose something i have around my house that i can’t live without or if i buy something new that i just love, then i will get one for you as well! its that simple. and for the first installment of mimi’s favorite things i chose something extra special to me. it is a candle (which you can find all over my house), but not just any candle. it is a funk junk handmade soy candle made by my lovely and talented sister and mom at their store and coffee hut in wisconsin. they have the best and most unique candle scents. seth and i even had one on each table at our wedding in the custom named scent, pinetop :) and when they started making these cute lots of luvs valentine’s candles (pictured below) i knew it would be the perfect first gift.
