I did something crazy this last month…in a matter of 24 hours, I started a book, finished the book, and watched the movie based on the book. Yes, I liked it :) In fact, I LOVED it! So I didn’t have to put too much thought into my favorite thing for this month. Silver Linings Playbook book and movie!

I have to take breaks from reading, mainly because when I get into a book, I REALLY get into it. Any extra time that I have you will find me snuggled up with my book, I “go to bed early” just to read my book, stay up late with my flashlight reading my book, and it comes everywhere in my purse. Juuuust in case I have a free moment to sneak in a few pages. Well this time I didn’t even have time to do that. I started it on a Saturday night and by the time I went to bed on Sunday evening, I had finished the book and the movie. In that 24 hours, I sniffled, I cried, I laughed out loud, I smiled lots, and then I was just plain depressed when it was done :)

I don’t want to give away too much of the story, but its about a 30 something gentleman from Jersey that gets out of a mental hospital at the beginning of the book. The rest is about his adjustment back in the real world and his quest to find his happy ending (or “silver lining”) amidst his struggles with love, family, and Kenny G. Seriously, Kenny G. Haha! Definitely goes on my favorite book list and I am still sulking a bit about it being over. I should probably just start my next book to move on!
